Here, Am7(♭5) is little tricky.
This chord and CmM7 in the tonic group have three common notes. However, the chord does not include “B note” which is a characteristic note in CmM7, so it should be in the subdominant group rather than the tonic group as a substitute chord.

It looks quite simple when they are listed like this. You can get many ideas by playing chords and melodies from this list.
